Objectives of the Course Analyzing the evolving strategic role of HRM—including the impact of technology, global competition, and globalization—on organizational effectiveness.
Evaluating ethical, legal, environmental, social, political, and technological responsibilities in HRM in order to advance CSR and ensure compliance with staffing regulations, and diversity & inclusion.
Designing evidence-based talent systems—job analysis, strategic/HR planning, recruitment & selection, training & development, and performance appraisal—aligned with business strategy.
Managing total rewards, employee well-being, safety & health, and employee–labor relations to enhance equity, engagement, and organizational performance.
Course Content The course develops a critical understanding of the role and functions of the various human resource activities in an organization, providing students with a comprehensive review of key HRM concepts, techniques, and issues. This course also intends to teach the students job analysis and design, recruitment and selection, evaluation, performance management, occupational health and safety, and the strategic contribution of HRM to organizational performance, and to evaluate HRM effectiveness.
