Objectives of the Course (1) Making the students familiar with the basic theories of photons.
(2) Introducing the physical principles behind photonic devices.
(3) Providing the necessary tools for designing photonic systems.
Course Content This course covers the basic theories related to light quanta (photons), photon statistics, light-matter interactions, semiconductor physics, and working principles of optoelectronic devices.
