(1)Understanding the basic concepts in power systems analysis. (2)Applying numerical methods into the solution of power flow problem. (3)Applying symmetrical component analysis for short circuit studies. (4)Understanding power system operation and optimization techniques.

Course Content
|
A study of the Electrical Power Systems; transmission of electrical power from generating units to loads, system components and system operation. Covers basics of power systems and their analysis, the per-unit concept, load flow and short circuit studies, power system protection, power system operation, power system stability.
