Objectives of the Course Analog communication fundamentals, modulation types (AM and angle), discrete-time signals and systems, AD converters, z-transform, discrete-time Fourier transform, fast Fourier transform, discrete Fourier transform, digital filters, digital communication fundamentals, amplitude, phase and frequency shift keying, pulse code modulation, speech processing, behavior of communication systems in the presence of noise.

Amplitude, angle modulation and Fourier series
Continuous-time Fourier transform
Analog to digital converters (ADC): Hardware and Noise
Discrete time signals and Fourier transforms, and z-transform
FIR & IIR filter design
Digital Algorithms for Communication Systems
Pulse code modulation and speech processing and real-time DSP algorithm
