Objectives of the Course To define the genetic and biochemical processes leading to a range of diseases; to describe the molecular details of protein folding diseases; to identify models of human diseases; to select diseases caused by enzyme deficiencies; and to compare immune system functions with autoimmune diseases.
Course Content A wide range of diseases will be covered, including immune diseases (autoimmune and immune deficiency), cardiovascular diseases, muscular dystrophies, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. The primary aim of the course is to provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these human diseases and contribute to the development of targeted therapies and drugs.
Course Methods and Techniques Lectures, literature presentations, case studies, molecular modeling, and interactive discussions on disease mechanisms.
