Objectives of the Course Identifying principles of the variety of research fields in life sciences.
Recognizing several experimental methodologies.
Describing recent advances in molecular biology, bioinformatics, biotechnology and bioengineering.
Course Content In this course current topics in molecular biology will be covered. Topics will vary across semesters according to advances in research and the interests of invited speakers. Representative topics may include technological advances in molecular biology, biotechnology and bioengineering.
Course Methods and Techniques Ders, teorik sunumlar ve seminerlerle yürütülecek olup, güncel literatür incelemeleri, davetli konuşmacı seminerleri, grup tartışmaları ve öğrenci sunumlarını içerecektir. Öğrencilerden seçilen güncel araştırma makalelerini okuyup analiz etmeleri, ilgili konularda eleştirel düşünme ve tartışma becerisi geliştirmeleri beklenir. Ayrıca teknolojik yeniliklerin ve uygulamaların vaka analizleriyle tartışılması hedeflenmektedir.
