Explaining sustainability principles of pavements Emphasizing the significance of the sustainability approach to pavements Giving information about materials, design, construction, and maintenance of sustainable pavements Practicing life cycle assessment of sustainable pavements.

Course Content
|
This course covers the design, construction, and maintenance of resilient (asphalt) and rigid (concrete) road pavements on the basis of sustainability principles. The course covers the following topics: sustainability concepts of pavements, sustainable materials for pavements, design and construction of sustainable pavements, protection-maintenance and rehabilitation practices, life cycle assessment of sustainable pavements.
