Objectives of the Course	To provide an understanding and practical use of global logistics and supply chain management in disaster management. To give fundamental and advanced knowledge about humanitarian logistics and the design, management and measurement of supply chains in the humanitarian context. To provide an understanding of the important role of logistics and supply chain management in different phases of disaster management cycle.
Course Content	This course introduces humanitarian operations, basic concepts and terminologies used in disaster management. The main objective of the course is to investigate humanitarian logistics operations in disaster management cycle and location, routing, allocation and inventory problems in humanitarian logistics. Mathematical models are formulated and solution methodologies are developed for these problems.
