Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to develop architectural research through interdisciplinary methods, contribute to the fields of materials science and mechanical engineering by producing academic knowledge in both local and global contexts, foster an academic path focused on research and lifelong learning, and effectively communicate research outputs across inter- and transdisciplinary boundaries to reflect the outcomes of the research.

Course Content
|
Course mainly frames the research, development and writing phases of the doctorate dissertation. For each dissertation, the phases of the research may vary but in general it consists of following steps: literature review about the chosen topic, defining and examining of research problem, developing a solution or a personal approach on the research topic, and writing of the body of the dissertation and journal papers. This process is conducted with the guidance of the thesis advisor(s).
