Objectives of the Course Recognizing the concept of ethics.
Enhancing skills to apply ethical theories to issues arising in science.
Motivating thinking on ethical problems in science.
Course Content The course focuses on the introduction to the ethics of science and research, the rules and contents of the ethics of science and research, the aim and the importance of making ethical decisions regarding the scientific research and studying ethical issues concerning human-based research. In addition to that, ethics for the usage of stem cells, genetically modified organism, cloning, ethics for drug developing and the scientific publications will be covered throughout the course.
Course Methods and Techniques Lectures, particular talks by prominent scientists, quizzes, articles will be included within the course content. Additionally, each student (as an individual or within groups ) is responsible from presenting an article in front of the class.
