Course Methods and Techniques
|
This course is designed to enable students to conduct individual laboratory research projects under the supervision of a faculty member. Throughout the semester, students are expected to carry out literature reviews, perform experimental work, and analyze their data using appropriate scientific methods. Regular meetings with the supervisor support the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, research planning, data collection, and data analysis skills. Students are also guided in scientific reporting and academic writing, culminating in a written project report and a final presentation at the end of the semester. The main methods and techniques used in the course include qualitative and quantitative research methods, experimental design, laboratory applications, statistical analysis, and scientific writing. Assessment is based on the student's progress during the project, the quality of the final written report, and the oral presentation. Since the course emphasizes active student participation and individual responsibility, it is grounded in a student-centered learning approach.
