Objectives of the Course
This course aims to enable students to recognize the histopathological characteristics of tumors, understand classification systems, and evaluate immunohistochemical techniques and biomarkers used in the diagnosis of malignancies.
Course Content
The course will cover the histopathology of tumors, classification of tumors, introduction to histological methods, cytohistological features of malignant tumors, markers used in immunohistochemistry of tumors.
Course Methods and Techniques
In this course, microscopic examination, histological staining techniques, and immunohistochemistry methods will be used for the histopathological evaluation of tumors. Students will analyze tumor tissues using standard staining techniques such as Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) and detect biomarkers in tumors through immunohistochemical methods. Additionally, they will assess histopathological findings to determine the malignancy grades of tumors and learn how to apply this knowledge in clinical diagnostic processes.
