Objectives of the Course Classifying different types of biomaterials.
Identifying the interactions of tissues and body fluids with biomaterials or medical devices.
Recognizing wound healing process and interactions between the human body and implanted biomaterials or devices.
Recognizing the scaffold fabrication techniques for tissue engineering.
Implementing all theoretical knowledge to solve practical tissue engineering problems.
Course Content This course focuses on the integration of biomaterials and cell/tissue engineering fields and offers excellent opportunities to integrate life sciences and engineering by leveraging the inherently interdisciplinary interface between cells/tissues and biomaterials.
Course Methods and Techniques Lectures, particular talks by prominent scientists, quizzes, articles will be included within the course content.
