Objectives of the Course O1. Defining pros and cons of protein expression systems
O2. Describing the basic principles of protein extraction and quantification methods and the outlining of chromatography methods
O3. Designing protein purification strategies
Course Content This course aims to deliver the overview of bacterial and eukaryotic protein expression systems and protein extraction methods from different sources. Principles of protein purification methods such as precipitation, centrifugation, electrophoresis and chromatography will be covered.
