Explaining the concept of homeostasis.
Taking an integrative approach to look at each of the major organ systems and how they operate and how their responses may also affect other systems.
Describing the physiological response to various stresses on the human body including pathological conditions.

Course Content
|
This course will provide an understanding of general physiological principles such as body organization, cellular communication, neural and hormonal control, and the function of individual cells. The regulation and function of major body systems like cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal and endocrine will be also covered. The concepts taught in this course are essential to biomedical research and to the diagnosis of human disease.
