Objectives of the Course · Making the students familiar with the basic theories of optics
· Introducing the mathematical methods to model light propagation, refraction, and reflection
· Providing the necessary tools for designing optical systems
Course Content This course covers the basic theories of light including ray optics, wave optics, and electromagnetic optics. Within this framework, optical components and mathematical methods that are used for designing optical systems will be introduced.
