Objectives of the Course 1. provide to the ability to discuss and analysis the concept of healthy cities different dimensions make an analysis and synthesis works on research of urban health
2. To be able to think analytically and systematically on urban health research
3. To learn the tools and application examples required for the urban health development plan
4. To produce policies with an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to problems related to urban health

Course Content The lecture focuses on the Historical perspective on Healthy Cities and Movements after industrial revolution and then There have been mainly concepts and approaches on Public Health. Healthy cities concept and scope, Healthy Cities profile and indicators Additionally, İt is very important issues/studies preparing, monitoring and evaluating by WHO, UNEP, EU and other international organizations, On the other hand, from planning perspectives, It will be discussed on Healthy Cities Guide preparation and examples. And overall criticism on Healthy cities in Turkey and Healthy Cities Union and implementations So, Healthy cities program all over the world has been concentrated on theoretical and empirical different issues and topics by policy documents
