Conceptualizing the key trends and drivers of urbanization in contemporary world.
Identify and analyses the socio-economic challenges that affect current society in the global urbanization.
Examining and discussing the political challenges and their effects in relation to urbanization.
Identify and evaluating the impact of the environmental challenges which will affect most venerable population around the globe and will enhance their effects in coming decades.

Course Content
|
This lecture focuses on the challenges of the global urbanisation. By using global examples in this lecture, we will critically analyse and discuss the challenges of urbanisation under three main categories; namely socio-economic, political, and environmental challenges. The module will not only focus on the challenges but also the last two lectures of the module will examine the key strategies in order to deal with these global problems.
