Course Content

In the last quarter of the twentieth century, architectural theory is grounded in order to understand contemporary architecture. In particular, instead of the discourse that establishes praxis, the thought of architecture as a theory determines the act of architecture. The fact that thought is a constitutive element for architecture and that abstraction emerges with diagrammatic predictions indicates the invalidity of considering theory and practice as two separate categories. In this context, the relationship between theory and practice in the twentieth century are tried to be redefined. Within the scope of the module, these current routes of architecture are tried to be revealed.
