Course Content
|
This course aims to introduce students with composite materials which are being used in an increasing trend in the today’s driving sectors such as automotive, marine, wind energy and aerospace. Composite materials will be taught to students which allow them to design and produce their own composite parts and structures. Topics covered include manufacturing technologies of composite materials by considering the cost and quality, fibers, matrices, classical laminate theory, rule of mixture, anisotropy of composites, failure mechanism and damage types, and other up-to-date advanced topics related to mechanics, testing and production of composite.
