|
Developing an understanding of how the psychotherapy relationship provides the foundation for all methodologies. Understanding the role of the therapeutic alliance in the treatment process and how to deal with the common problems any therapist will encounter. Enabling an adequate knowledge about the central principles all therapies have in common and how to organize and carry out treatment to maximize their chances for success.

Course Content
|
The aim of this course is to examine the basic concepts of psychotherapy. The course will begin with an overview of what psychotherapy is. Then, psychotherapy relationship and initial evaluation in psychotherapy will be introduced. Creating a formulation and treatment plan will be discussed in detail later. Finally, the collaboration, communication and autodidact issues in psychotherapy will be discussed.
