Objectives of the Course -Introducing the fundamentals of Biostatistics.
-Understanding the problem and selecting appropriate statistical methods
-Analyzing data with examples in life sciences and discussing the results in the view of Biostatistics
-Planning a scientific study using appropriate study designs, statistical
methods and hypotheses
Course Content Introduction to biostatistics and basic concepts; descriptive statistics; probability and probability distributions; sampling methods and parameter estimation; introduction to hypothesis testing and testing statistical assumptions; one-sample, two-sample and multi-sample inference with hypothesis testing; nonparametric tests; categorical data analysis; correlation and regression analysis

5 Perform hypothesis tests based on data assumptions, exploring relationship between variables, selecting appropriate correlation coefficient for given variables
6 Interpret and report the analysis results using proper statistical methods
