-Introducing the fundamentals of Biostatistics. -Understanding the problem and selecting appropriate statistical methods -Analyzing data with examples in life sciences and discussing the results in the view of Biostatistics -Planning a scientific study using appropriate study designs, statistical methods and hypotheses

Introduction to biostatistics and basic concepts; descriptive statistics; probability and probability distributions; sampling methods and parameter estimation; introduction to hypothesis testing and testing statistical assumptions; one-sample, two-sample and multi-sample inference with hypothesis testing; nonparametric tests; categorical data analysis; correlation and regression analysis
