Objectives of the Course Providing statistical, mathematical and econometrics foundations of forecasting. Introducing main forecasting methods used in fields of business, economics and social sciences formally.
Developing students’ skills of conducting forecasting estimations using related softwares starting from question formation to evaluation of results.
Course Content The aim of the course is to introduce forecasting, forecasting methods, characteristics and specialties associated with these methods, and to have students develop the ability to use theoretical and practical knowledge about applying forecasting methods in disciplines related to business and economics. By the end of the course students will be able to identify forecasting questions, suitable methods for forecasting questions, conduct forecasting analyses, and interpret and evaluate results of forecasting analyses.
