• Introducing fundamentals of quantum mechanics and semiconductor physics. • Introducing optical, electrical, and mechanical properties of the nano-sized materials. • Making the students familiar with characterization and fabrication technologies involving nano- and micro-dimensional objects. • Developing the skills of the students in designing nano- and micro-sized systems and devices.

Course Content
|
This capsule introduces the fundamentals of nano- and micro-scale systems. It will cover basics of quantum mechanics, semiconductor physics, and the properties of nano- and micro-sized materials. Furthermore, it will cover basic fabrication technologies as well as characterization systems. During this course, the students will be asked to design electrical, mechanical, or optical systems that involve nano and micromaterials.
