Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to enable students to use the Turkish language effectively in daily life, develop their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, and encourage the correct use of the language in context.
Course Content In this course, the use of Turkish in daily life will be addressed in accordance with the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), focusing on the core language skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in context and practice.
Course Methods and Techniques Learners will be provided with as much opportunities of hands-on practice as possible with the aim of striking a balance between learner-centeredness and sufficient guidance. Various forms of interaction (i.e. pair work and group work) will also be encouraged to cater for learners with different learning styles. Additionally, individuals will be expected to produce both in-class writings and homework assignments in addition to the reading tasks, which will encourage them to reflect and think critically. Technology will also be incorporated into the classroom procedures in order to create a better learning environment.

In this course, students will develop their ability to understand and use more complex language structures in addition to basic grammar and vocabulary at the A2 level of Turkish as a Foreign Language, in accordance with the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Building on the foundational language skills acquired at the A1 level, they will enhance their ability to manage everyday situations more effectively, focusing on the core language skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
