Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to teach students the negotiation process, strategies, and tactics used in negotiations, and help them develop effective negotiation skills. The course will focus on how negotiations take place both at the national and international levels, the dynamics of various negotiations, conflict resolution, and methods for reaching consensus. Additionally, the course will discuss ethical and cultural differences encountered in negotiations, teaching students how to conduct effective negotiations in real-world scenarios.

Course Content
|
Giving priority to the conceptualisations of communication, this course provides students the knowledge of effective strategies of negotiation, negotiation process, leadership skills, time and meeting management, its effect of organisational behaviours such leadership-communication-conflict-powerauthority on negotiations, diverse culture in negotiation, and various communication devices.

Case Studies and Negotiation Simulations: Students will simulate negotiation processes and apply these in real-world scenarios.
Role-Playing and Group Work: Students take on various roles as negotiators and learn negotiation processes through practical exercises.
Discussion and Advanced Analyses: Students will engage in discussions to critically analyze strategies and ethical issues encountered in negotiations.
Video and Media Analysis: Analysis of real negotiation videos to observe different negotiation techniques in practice.
Negotiator Profile Studies: In-depth studies on the psychology of negotiators and behavioral factors.
