Familiarizing students with social and political phenomena
Course Content Social exclusion is a general result of inequalities such as poverty, deprivation and inequality of opportunity. Within the scope of this course, the ways and means of minimizing the existing inequalities will be tried to be determined by looking at such inequalities critically. In addition, concepts and theories related to social exclusion will be introduced to the students. In this context, concepts such as structuralist understanding, human rights, participation and pluralist democracy as well as democratic and participation theories will be examined from the perspective of social exclusion.
