Course Content
|
This course will focus primarily in the Arab world, Iran, Turkey and Israel, and on Afghanistan s recent policies. The political developments and dynamics of these countries will be examined. These discussions will continue on four main axes: (1) the Arab-Israeli dilemma, oil and Islam; (2) regional disputes; (3) conflicts of power; (4) and the results of the sum of these variables in the region.

Course Methods and Techniques

Case Studies: Examining key events and conflicts in the Middle East through case studies.
Seminars and Group Discussions: Students will engage in group discussions on the political issues of the Middle East.
Film Screenings and Documentaries: Watching films and documentaries about events in the Middle East, followed by discussions.
