Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to examine the emergence, development, and impact of new social movements. Students will understand the role of social movements in societal change at both global and local levels, and they will analyze the political, economic, and cultural effects of these movements.

Course Content
|
In this course, the emergence and conditions of modern social movements, their characteristics and historical roles will be discussed within the framework of sociological theories. The characteristics and forms of the new social movements emerging today will be described. In this course, the student will learn the conditions of departure, characteristics and historical roles of modern social movements within the framework of sociological theories; learn about the characteristics and forms of new social movements emerging today.
