Objectives of the Course This course aims to explore the impact of energy resources on national and international politics. Students are expected to gain an understanding of energy security, dependency, the geopolitics of energy, and the influence of energy policies on global actors.
Course Content This course aims to analyze the role of energy in the policies of states. After
discussing the historical information about energy and the general energy
profile of the world today, the concept of energy security is emphasized. In
addition to the regional examinations of Middle East, Caspian, Black Sea and
the Balkans; national examinations of the countries such as Turkey, Russia,
the US will be a part of this course.
