The aim of this course is to examine the role of transnational actors—such as NGOs, multinational corporations, diaspora communities, and social movements—that operate beyond the scope of state-to-state relations. The course aims to help students understand how globalization has transformed political structures and challenged the traditional role of the nation-state.
