Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to examine the impact of globalization on international migration and to equip students with the ability to analyze the causes and consequences of migration in relation to global political, economic, and cultural structures.

Course Content
|
The aim of this course is to introduce students with concepts such as international migration, migration, refugees, diaspora, retired migration, brain migration and their causes and processes. It is also important to understand the rationale and usefulness of multidisciplinary research in migration and to understand the approach of geography to migration research. Finally, it is aimed to have knowledge about the causes, types, paths and consequences of migration movements in the international dimension; to evaluate the trends and types of migration along with globalization; and thus to analyze and make inferences about the changing population and migration strategies of countries.
