2- Familiarizing students with social and political phenomena
Course Content This course aims to extract the genealogy of the concept of ideology since the
French Revolution. Works of De Tracy to Marx, Gramsci to Althusser and
finally Foucault to Zizek on the concept of ideology will be examined within
the scope of this course.
Course Methods and Techniques Seminars and Discussions: Students will analyze and compare the core views of different ideologies through discussions.

Case Studies: Case studies will be used to understand the historical impact of different ideological movements.

Reading and Writing Assignments: Students will engage in reading specific ideologies and write analytical essays.

Group Work and Presentations: Group projects discussing the contemporary impacts of ideological theories will be conducted.

Guest Speakers: Presentations by experts or researchers in the field of ideology.
