Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to explore systems of social stratification from both theoretical and empirical perspectives, enabling students to develop a critical understanding of class, status, power, and inequality.
Course Content The aim of this course is to enable students to gain knowledge about social
stratification and to gain theoretical-historical point of view. Social
stratification theories, inequalities and ideology; social class, gender, major
inequalities such as ethnic discrimination, issues such as inequalities in Turkey
will be discussed.
