Objectives of the Course 1. Introducing basics of economic thinking.
2. Introducing basic microeconomic models.
3. Providing basic tools to analyze products and markets from an economic point of view.
4. Developing students’ awareness of economic aspects of global issues.
Course Content Aim of the course is to introduce principal concepts of economics, targeted towards engineering undergraduate students, through specifically examining topics that are of special interest for production and technology firms and markets. Subjects such as preferences, various production and cost functions, market structures, risk and insurance are examined at introductory level.
