Objectives of the Course Developing curiosity regarding other cultures.
Discussing some important dimensions of cultures in relation to economy.
Presenting examples of how cultures influence economic growth and economic structures of countries.
Providing knowledge about basic principles, methods and tools for analyzing problems in intercultural management settings.
Course Content Aim of the course is to introduce and examine, at an introductory level, different approaches to define, measure and evaluate culture, cultural values and culture-specific concepts. Possible impacts of cultural values and worldviews on the development and structure of a national economy as well as the impacts of economic growth and development on culture are discussed. Principal knowledge and instruments that will help in international working environments are presented throughout the course.
Course Methods and Techniques This course will utilize methods such as case studies, group discussions, and cultural comparisons. Students will explore the impact of different cultures on economic structures through examples and analyses. Additionally, basic analytical tools and methods will be applied to address intercultural management issues. The course will be structured to include both theoretical and practical work.

Resources
This course explores the impact of culture on the economy and how the two disciplines interact. The role of culture in economic growth, consumption habits, and economic structures will be discussed, along with examining differences across cultural dimensions. Additionally, fundamental methods and tools for analyzing intercultural management issues will be addressed. Various examples and case studies will be presented to show how culture shapes the economy, and students will be encouraged to develop curiosity about different cultures.
