Objectives of the Course Introducing basic problems in environmental economics.
Providing knowledge on existing measurements of sustainability in relation to discussions in the field of environmental economics.
Developing basic knowledge about policy tools for the analysis and solutions of market failures and related problems in the field of environmental economics.
Course Content Necessary information and foundations for gaining an understanding and making analyses of the basic problems in environmental economics is provided throughout the course. Topics are developed in order to encompass the analysis of market failures and policy tools for the solutions of related problems. In addition, subjects such as the theory of public space usage, pollution markets, definition of customer behaviors in the field of environmental economics and their analyses are introduced.
