Objectives of the Course Introducing basic concepts of real estate economics.
Defining the basic mechanisms of real estate market and financing of real estate.
Illustrating techniques for the value and profitability calculations of real estate investments.
Course Content Course is designed mainly to examine the process and techniques of analyzing real property as an investment medium as well as the effects of market conditions and government policies upon real estate investment. The focus of the course is also on the investment relations that have developed especially through alternative investment methods in recent years. Mortgage-based investment instruments that are related to the financial crises and real side consequences of these are examined. Factors influencing real estate values such as business cycles, regional and community growth, influences on real estate development are also discussed.
Course Methods and Techniques This course will utilize methods such as case studies, market simulations, and valuation techniques. Students will work with real market data to understand the dynamics of real estate markets and experience profitability calculations of real estate investments through practical exercises. Group work and discussions will focus on the practical applications of theoretical knowledge.

This course aims to introduce the basic concepts of real estate economics. The focus will be on the mechanisms of real estate markets and the financing of real estate. Additionally, techniques for value and profitability calculations of real estate investments will be demonstrated. Students will gain a better understanding of the dynamics of real estate markets and investment strategies.
