Objectives of the Course
|
Introducing the main concepts of labor economics. Introducing the subject of personnel behavior. Examining different types of compensation systems and how to increase personnel performance in these systems. Showing examples of experimental and behavioral studies that are conducted in workplaces and are related to human resource management.

Course Content
|
The course is designed as an introductory course on economic analysis of human resource management policies. In particular, the course content contains two main issues of human resource management: personnel selection and personnel motivation. Theoretical framework based on labor economics as well as empirical studies related to behavioral economics and experimental economics are examined throughout the course. By the end of the course students will have acquired knowledge on the basic terminology and concepts in the field of personnel economics and human resources management.
