Objectives of the Course Introducing the rapidly evolving literature of behavioral economics.
Showing how to use behavioral economic theory tests using field experiments and non-experimental data.
Developing skills for using concepts and applications of behavioral economics in order to explain anomalies in real world market environments.
Course Content Course is aimed at examining a variety of different concepts in behavioral economics at introductory and undergraduate level in order to introduce the area further and in addition to the contents of core courses in curriculum. Example topics can be: classical utility theory, alternative utility theories, decision-making under risk and uncertainty, behavioral game theory, trust and reciprocity, economics and psychology, behavioral public policy, and experimental methods. Students are presented with the possibility to gain thorough knowledge about main subjects and approaches in behavioral economics, and to discuss and compare these with subjects and approaches in classical and mainstream economics.
