Objectives of the Course This covers provides, an overview of Clinical Engineering in hospitals, focusing on medical equipment management, hospital systems, and technology integration. Emphasizes foundational knowledge, innovation, and design in biomedical applications.
Course Content - Describing the organization and functions of clinical engineering units, hospital management, computer systems in clinical engineering. - Providing solid fundamental knowledge in life sciences and engineering. - Encouraging creativity, self-learning and innovation (design of devices, components or processes that meet desired needs in Biology or Medicine).
Course Methods and Techniques The course is taught with a student-centered approach. The course includes in-class activities, group work, assignments, mini projects. Various interactive methods such as discussions, peer interaction and hands-on activities will be used.
