1) To learn the main steps of a typical biomedical measurement and processing system.
2) To understand the fundamentals of biomedical instrumentation.
3) To explain the methodologies in characterizing biosignals in time and frequency domain.

Course Content
|
This course introduces the fundamentals of instrumentation and signal analysis in biomedical field. The course covers the following main topics: Introduction to Biomedical Engineering, the basics of anatomy and physiology of cardiac, neural and muscular systems, fundamentals of sensors/transducers used in acquiring biosignals, theoretical and applied concepts in biosignal analysis used in filtering and information extraction.
