Course Content
|
In this course, students learn the strategic importance of good supply chain design, planning, and operation for every firm and understand how good supply chain management can be a competitive advantage, whereas weaknesses in the supply chain can hurt the performance of a firm. We use many examples to illustrate this idea and develop a framework for supply chain strategy. Within the strategic framework, we identify facilities, inventory, transportation, information, sourcing, and pricing as the key drivers of supply chain performance. At the end of the course students will have a fair understanding of the role supply chain management plays in business processes.

Course Methods and Techniques

Bu aynı zamanda öğrenci odaklı bir derstir. Sınıf tartışmalarına aktif olarak katılmak sizin sorumluluğunuzdadır. Eğitmenle veya birbirinizle aynı fikirde olup olmadığınıza göre notlandırılmazsınız. Sınıf katılımının değerlendirilmesi, önemli konulara değinip cevap verme, fikir veya içgörüler sunma, başkalarının fikirleri üzerine inşa etme, sunum yapanlara soru sorma vb. yeteneğinize dayanacaktır. Sınıf tartışmalarına aktif olarak katılarak, kendi içgörülerinizi ve sınıf arkadaşlarınızın içgörülerini keskinleştirebilirsiniz. Katılımınızın hem kalitesi hem de sıklığı aktif katılım notunuza etki edecektir. Lütfen yüksek kaliteli veya ilgili katkının, sık ancak önemsiz katkıya göre size daha yüksek katılım notu kazandıracağını unutmayın. Ayrıca, sadece sınıfta bulunmanız için herhangi bir sınıf katılım puanı almayacaksınız. Sınıf katılımı, sınıf katılımında yüksek puan almak için gerekli ancak yeterli bir koşul değildir.
