Objectives of the Course To become proficient with the tools that will allow you to solve a wide range of heat transfer problems both analytically and numerically
To develop an understanding of the parameters that govern heat transfer problems; these include things like time constants, thermal resistances, nondimensional parameters, etc.
To design and analyze the performance of heat exchangers and evaporators
To characterize the transient conduction problems, where temperature depends on time.
Course Content This course aims to establish knowledge of the fundamental subjects of mechanical engineering and teach a computer programming language. Students will be able learn the fundamentals of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluids, heat transfer, solid mechanics, vibration, robotics and Matlab programming language. Matlab user interface, basic and commonly used commands, creating variables & matrix, vectors and matrices analysis automating commands, loops and functions will be covered during programming sessions.
