Objectives of the Course - Explain how to represent force, moment of a force and couple as vectors.
- Teach special equilibrium situations (two-force and three-force members).
- Show the force distribution on truss members.
- Explain critical static analyses of the real-world applications.
Course Content This course aims to introduce the concepts of static equilibrium. Topics include concentrated forces, distributed forces, forces due to friction, and inertia as they apply to machines, structures, and systems. Students will develop critical thinking skills necessary to formulate appropriate approaches to problem solutions.
Course Methods and Techniques Statics lecture is performing with its related instructor as in-person. It has 2 exams including visa and final exams in the semester. Furthermore, the instructor try to employ at least 3 quizes to understand the weekly performance of students. Attending to the class is not obligatory. However, the instructor is gathering official signature from students during the lecture. Those official signatures are enabing the instructor to help to give final score of Static course.
