Objectives of the Course
Comprehending the theory of projection to show three-dimensional objects in two-dimensional views (principal, auxiliary, sections). Emphasizing freehand sketching to aid in the visualization process and efficiently communicate ideas graphically. Using a CAD software to create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.

Course Content
This course aims to introduce the fundamental concepts in geometric description and modeling of mechanical form, components, and assemblies. Topics include elements of descriptive geometry, engineering drawing standards, computer modeling, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Students operate commercially available computer-aided design systems to model and learn the basics of engineering communication, specification, and annotation.
