Objectives of the Course Beyond contributing to the general development of students’ intellectual maturity and abilities, the more specific objectives of the course include;
1. Improving students’ critical thinking skills in the social sciences. 2. Fostering group working skills.
3. Developing project management skills.
4. Fostering originality.
Course Content This project aims to improve students’ ability to work as a group and create an original product based on what they have learned throughout the undergraduate program. The product (board game, simulation, or wargame) aims to materialize students’ knowledge of the field. Students are expected to work together towards completing the beta version of their product, which will be showcased at the project fair and presented to a jury.
Course Methods and Techniques This course is based on biweekly meetings, peer evaluations, individual progress reports, presentations and developing a product. During the face-to-face meetings, lecturer and the groups will discuss the groups progress. Students are also expected to provide peer feedback on each other’s projects. Furthermore, groups will present their work during a project fair and a jury. Students are also expected to submit individual progress reports on their and groups performance.
