Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to examine the constitutional development of Turkey in a historical context and to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the 1982 Constitution, including its fundamental principles, state institutions, and system of rights and freedoms.

Course Content
|
In this course, Ottoman-Turkish constitutional developments, constitutional basic principles of the Republic of Turkey, political parties regime, the state legislature, the structuring of the executive and judicial fields, the principles and criteria relating to fundamental rights and freedoms regime, issues such as constitutional amendment is discussed.
