To have fundamental knowledge about concepts of transportation and traffic engineering through an in-depth study of highway transportation
To learn forces acting on a vehicle and their effects on road vehicle performance
To learn basic principles of geometric design of highways and pavement design
To have knowledge about traffic models

Course Content
|
This course aims to introduce the fundamental concepts of transportation engineering through an in-depth study of highway transportation. It covers the topics such as introduction to highway, railway, and airport engineering, transportation planning, vehicle dynamics, geometric design of roads, pavement design principles and basic of traffic engineering.
