Defining biomaterials and biocompatibility Describing the sources/materials types for biomaterial preparation, and the material characterization techniques Examining the biocompatibility testing and cascade of events in the body after implantation Gaining the ability to suggest a biomaterial for the specific problem in the human body

Course Content
|
This course provides the knowledge of material’s use for the health-related purposes. In the content of this course, biomaterial’s definition, material types used for biomaterial preparation, techniques for structural and physicochemical characteristics of biomaterials, testing of biocompatibility, wound healing mechanism in the body will be addressed.
